St. Paul’s Pauline Memorial Catholic School opened its doors on September 12, 1955, through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Penrose and in memory of their granddaughter Pauline. Originally serving 120 children in grades 1 – 4, Pauline Memorial has grown to include a pre-school, a pre-kindergarten and students in kindergarten through grade 8. PMCS serves families from St. Paul's Parish and 15 parishes and ten school districts in Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. We are honored to serve a large number of military families as well. Our PMCS campus has also grown over these 55 years to include a state of the art computer lab, science lab, gymnasium, cafeteria, and library.

The administration, faculty, and staff of Pauline believe that parents are the primary educators of their children and join parents in partnership to ensure they are fully-formed in the beauty and completeness of our Catholic faith and equip our students for academic excellence. PMCS is fully accredited through the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and Certification. Our faculty is highly qualified by Colorado state requirements and many hold Masters’ degrees in education. All faculty members complete catechetical certification in compliance of the Bishop’s Charter of the Diocese of Colorado Springs.

Pauline students continue to excel academically and grow spiritually becoming well-rounded children of God. We believe that they are the future of our Church and we are committed to preparing them in the leadership skills they will need in the future. We are blessed to begin each school day as a parish community attending Mass, listening to God’s word, and receiving Christ in the most Holy Eucharist.

PMCS proudly offers enVision Math (K-8) and the Core Knowledge curriculum  (PreK-8) as the foundation of  our academic instruction. We also offer an after school Extended Day/Enrichment Program where students may participate in a variety of enrichment programs including performance choirs and technology club.

In his meeting with Catholic educators in Washington, DC in 2008, Pope Benedict XVI commented that Catholic “education is integral to the mission of the Church to proclaim the Good News. First and foremost every Catholic educational institution is a place to encounter the living God who in Jesus Christ reveals his transforming love and truth.”  May this always be so at PMCS. Pauline Memorial Catholic School is grateful to our parents for entrusting their children to our care.

"What our children believe is just as important as what they know."
