Academics
The elementary schools within UCSPPR use a structured curriculum including Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Spanish, Art, Music, Computers, Physical Education, and Religion. All of the schools use nationally recognized, standardized testing through the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS). We strive for high academic performance, looking for improvement by each child from year to year. The schools meet all standards by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
All of our schools are accredited through AdvancED/NCA. In order to maintain this accreditation the schools undergo rigorous, periodic reviews. All teachers are licensed and certified, and a significant number have master’s degrees or doctorates. Many teachers are currently enrolled in masters programs, and our schools are proud to provide built in staff development days for professional development and continuing education. UCSPPR provides one additional day for professional development and one for spiritual development. All teachers have catechetical certification.
We strive to create a faith community through daily prayer, participation in liturgies, reception of the sacraments and a strong religion curriculum.
