The Sacrament of Communion or Eucharist is the sacrament in which Catholic Christians receive the Body and Blood of Christ.  (MT 26:17-29, MK 14:12-25, LK 22:1-20, JN 6:52-60)

Homebound
If you, or a family member wish to receive the Eucharist, please call the Parish Office at 303-841-3750.

First Holy Communion
Any baptized child seven years of age and older and who has participated in Catholic Religious Education for the prior year(s): If the child is in the second grade, he/she has completed the first grade. If the child is in the third grade, he/she has completed the second grade in a religious education class or Catholic School.

*If your child is not baptized or has not participated in Catholic Religious Education, please refer to the Rite of Christian Initiation.

*Dates and times for Parent First Reconciliation Training are coming soon.  Please check back at a later date for exact dates and times.

To register for First Sacraments turn in a copy of the child’s Baptismal Certificate to the Faith Formation Office. A copy is needed by the Faith Formation Office for every child, even if the child was baptized at Ave Maria.

Preparations for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist are taught primarily by the Parents/Guardians. Parents/Guardians are required to participate in the sacramental classes offered in order to prepare their child(ren) for Reconciliation (Confession/Penance) and Holy Communion (Eucharist). One session is required for each sacrament. Although the parents are ultimately responsible for their child’s preparation, there will be a strong emphasis in their classroom, as well.
