About Us

Our Philosophy
The goal of Ave Maria Catholic School is to provide a Christian atmosphere in which a student is encouraged to grow in spiritual values, right judgment, and academic knowledge.  Every effort is made to guide each student's spiritual, intellectual, and social and emotional development in the light of the teachings of Jesus Christ.  Ave Maria Catholic School strives to act in a professional manner to participate in the spiritual growth of the students.  An atmosphere of faith and friendliness are conducive to Christian learning.  Ave Maria Catholic school strives to offer its students academic programs that emphasize both traditional and contemporary methods.  A relationship between student and teacher must be one of mutual trust and confidence.

Communication is essential to our school's success.  Ave Maria Catholic School utilizes the following systems and events as methods of communication:

TeacherEase is a school management program where parents can securely login and find menus, calendars, forms, lunch accounts, handbooks, and directories.  It also allows parents to check homework, grades, and email their child's teachers.  Conversely, the administration and staff can email parents through this program.

Scho
ol Reach

is a parent notification system that assists administration by contacting parents quickly using automated phone, email, and text message broadcasts.  This is utilized in cases of school cancellations, schedule changes, and other unplanned events.

The Weekly Herald is a weekly email newsletter published by our principal, Mrs. Loiselle, containing the upcoming calendar of events, quick links to web pages like PTO Manager, TeacherEase, and our Church website, as well as, valuable information regarding the current week.  There are also accolades to faculty, parents, and students, with great photos and updates on recent events to share with our community.

PTO Manager is a web-based program that assists our Home and School Association in recruiting and communicating with our parent volunteers.

Tea with Terri is a monthly event following HSA meetings where parents can meet in an informal setting with our principal, Terri Loiselle, and discuss important issues and ask general questions regarding school policy.  Each month Mrs. Loiselle, focuses the meeting on specific grade level groups (i.e., Preschool, Primary, Secondary, Middle School).

Back to School Night is an evening event held for parents within the first couple of weeks of the beginning of the school year.  All parents are encouraged to attend to meet their child's teachers, learn about changes in the new school year, upcoming events, and opportunities to become more involved in our school community.

State of the School is another evening event held for parents in January.  All parents are encouraged to attend to learn about the current status of the school and plans for the future.  Committee chairs from Home and School Association, School Advisory Council, and Finance Council provide parents with committee updates.

Open House and "Student Showcase" is an event held during Catholic Schools' Week.  This evening event is not only for prospective students and families, but also for current students and families.  This is an opportunity for students to showcase their work and explore other grade levels/offerings for the following year.
